BET was retained by Trinity Management to investigate roof leaks and then prepare design documents to replace the main roof the Regency Apartments building in New Bedford, MA. The Regency was constructed in 1986 and is the tallest building in New Bedford at 15 stories. The main roof was heavily damaged during ``SuperStorm Sandy`` in 2012, and had been temporarily repaired, but was again leaking. BET evaluated the existing conditions and recommended that the roof be replaced. BET prepared design documents for the project, incorporating special provisions for high wind conditions considering the building's height and proximity to the ocean. BET assisted the owner in bidding out the work, and then provided contract administration and field observation services throughout the course of the project to see the work to completion.
