Matthew has been consulting in the field of building envelope technology since 2000.  He has extensive experience working with owners and property managers of existing buildings, particularly multi-family residential condominium associations.  He routinely reviews properties to evaluate their condition and assist owners in addressing both immediate and long term repair needs. Matthew is particularly experienced with designing and overseeing large-scale capital replacement projects, including roof replacement, siding and trim replacement, window and door replacement, deck/balcony replacement, and masonry restoration. He is also skilled at forensic investigation of water leaks in buildings and other related envelope issues.

The Villages at Brookside

Full replacement of shingle roofing and siding at six buildings at the Villages at Brookside in Bourne, MA.  Field investigation of existing conditions, repair design, contractor bid solicitation, and construction oversight.

 

*Captain’s Cove Condominium

Design and construction oversight for the replacement of the EIFS walls, windows, and doors at the front facade of the 10-story, 80+ unit condominium building on the waterfront in Quincy, MA.

 

*Lockheed Martin

Design and construction oversight for the replacement of the low-slope single ply membrane roof system at Lockheed Martin’s secure facility in Marion, MA.  Design included coordination with Factory Mutual for wind uplift considerations.

 

*Providence Journal

Design and construction oversight for the replacement of the low-slope single ply membrane roof system at the Providence Journal in RI. Design included coordination with Factory Mutual for wind uplift considerations.

 

*Hewitt’s Landing Condominium

Condition survey of exterior envelope components, including roofing, siding, windows, and doors, as well as post supported decks at this new luxury residential development on the waterfront in Hingham, MA.  Provided follow-up design for the replacement of the roofs, siding, windows, doors, and decks.
